Our
History
 CityCoast Church began life as Christian Outreach
Centre Brighton & Hove in 1993. The church was planted by Pastors
Ashley and Ruth Schmierer, who moved from their home in Northern
Queensland, Australia. The church grew rapidly, with many people
giving their lives to Jesus and experiencing, miracles and power.
The first meetings were held in Brighton hotels but in 1994 the church moved
into a rented building in Hove. In 2000, the church moved to its
current location in Portslade. As Ashley and Ruth began concentrating
their time internationally as European Chairman of Christian Outreach
Centre, Pastors David and Jackie Harland took over as Senior Pastors.
Ashley and Ruth remain as Apostolic Ministers in CityCoast Church. |

In 2005, a new
and larger auditorium was built in the existing premises. To
reflect this expansion of the building and the vision of the church,
our name was changed to CityCoast Church. We are still part of the
global movement of Christian Outreach Centre and act as the European
base.
